Fun Activities To Do With Your Dog At Cloud Nine

We love our dogs. We enjoy their company. We want to spend time with them.

And sometimes we just want to hang out with fellow dog owners/fanciers – like-minded people who understand our obsession – for a chance to share stories, commiserate about problems, compare experiences, or let our dogs socialize with each other. That’s why we offer various dog-related activities at Cloud Nine.

Doggy Gym

Doggy Gym falls under the category of something fun to do with your dog. In Doggy Gym, you will guide your dog around a pre-agility-like obstacle course where he will run through tunnels and hoops, walk up and down planks, hop over low jumps, balance on a wobble board or exercise ball, go over and under objects. This activity is a great way to develop your dog’s coordination, confidence, focus on tasks, and attention on you while challenging and stimulating him both mentally and physically.

Doggy Gym is an entertaining, easy and inexpensive way to enjoy time with your dog – a chance to strengthen your bond while doing something that will make you both wag your tails! It’s also a great way to see if you and your dog are good candidates for the sport of agility.

Click on the Activities Schedule link below to find out when and where the next Doggy Gym will be held. Please RSVP 24 hours in advance of an activity, so we know to expect you or so we can contact you in case there is a change of schedule. No prerequisite. Cost is $5/dog if a current student; $10/dog if a not a current student.

Small Dog Play Group

Small dogs love to run and jump and tear it up just like the big dogs, but they can’t always do it safely when large breed dogs are on the scene. That’s why Cloud Nine offers Small Dog Play Group.

Our owner-supervised small dog playgroup activity is for the little kids on the block – dogs 15 pounds and under, who are six months of age and older, who are house trained, and who do not behave aggressively. It’s a full hour of reckless abandon for the smaller members of the canid species who love the activity as much as their owners enjoy watching and even participating in their fun.

Dogs who “mark” must wear a belly band; all dogs must be taken out for potty breaks every 20 to 30 minutes. Toys are permitted, but treats are not a great idea unless you’re willing to share with all the dogs who have figured out what’s in your pocket.

Come join the many pure and mixed breed small dogs who gather at our play group to race and romp to their hearts’ content. Offered October through April. Click on the Activities Schedule link below to find out when and where the next Small Dog Play Group will be held. Please RSVP 24 hours in advance of an activity, so we know to expect you or so we can contact you in case there is a change of schedule. Cost is $5/dog if a current student; $10/dog if not a current student.
